Seattle Pinball League

Hello,
My name is Aaron McAbee. I am 40 years old, love films, biking, videogames, vegan food, beer, Austin TX, and many many other things that my parents would not approve of.
I had my first tournament on Monday and had so much fun talking to people and playing on the tables at Snooze Junction in Ballard. Right now I am watching people play and gathering information. The way some focus and the way some beat the crap out the games. I also am looking foward to playing some tables that I have only seen played on youtube.
Eventually I would love to see some peoples private collections, but realize that this will take some time. I also want to work on my game to get better but never take it too seriously.
I plan in the very near future to tour Portland with a trip planned to go to the Pinball Museum in Las Vegas in the near future .
I hope to meet lots of people and become more social within this group. I also hope to get a table within a year.

Beer: There is quite a lot of this in the League, too. In fact, my wife and I brew a five-gallon batch of beer for every Tourney.

I am happy to say to you that I will be at the next tournament. I just hope I can stick to the high dress code that you display in your photo! Looking foward to meeting you and getting my ass handed to me in a game.

Dude, you are in good company here. Pinball and beer is enjoyed by, oh, at least half of us.
Dress standards? Oh, that! Well, most everybody is of the Levis-and-black-t-shirt persuasion, though you can always spot my wife and I in the crowd by the outrageous tie-dye stuff we wear.
Usually when you start out you're asked to rank yourself on a 1-5 scale, 1 being absolute beginner and 5 being wizard rank. So you'll be put in a group of people who play at your level. That keeps competitions fair. Or so the theory goes...
